Xero Hassle with the Coronvirus Job Retention Scheme
On Monday 20th April HMRC opened its portal to claim for wages through the Coronavirus job retention scheme. The scheme has been set up to allow employers to claim 80% of employee wages whilst they are on furlough.
Xero has implemented new features in Xero Payroll to make it even easier for employers to claim those wages. The new furlough feature allows you to set employees pay at 80-100% whilst calculating the 80% subsidised wage amount. The full payslip still calculates the relevant taxes, deductions, and pension contributions to make the whole procedure as simple as possible!
